About + Approach

Born and raised in Thirroul, a small coastal town on Sydney's South Coast surrounded by the ocean on one side and the escarpment on the other, nature has always been a major part of my life.

I completed my Initial yoga teacher training under the guidance of Noelle Connolly, Rachel Coops, Sarah Routhier, and Vicki Smart all teachers who I will be forever grateful for their shared wisdom, passion, and love of the yoga teachings.

I then ventured overseas to train with Kyle Miller and Krissy Jones  where I was introduced to Katonah Yoga (founded by mastress yoga teacher Nevine Michaan) and a spark was lit. Katonah yoga completely landed with me and gave me another framework to cross-reference everything I had previously learned and studied.

Katonah looks at yoga in a different way than I had traditionally been taught with a focus on Eastern thought, Taoism, and Traditional Chinese Medicine by providing us with tools and techniques to be more functional, to be more joyous.

In a broad sense, yoga is a conscious practice, it's about becoming a more conscious human being where you can learn your habits and propensities, your strengths and your weaknesses so you can develop the less developed part of yourself and become a more well-rounded, spherical and buoyant being.

In Katonah we learn about our nature and the seasons, in life, we move and flow with the seasons, and the more you can accept change, the more in harmony with nature and the laws of the universe you can be.

Change is inevitable, everyone falls apart, everyone gets hurt, but the nature of form is to deform! By developing that part of ourselves and gathering as much technique as possible we can develop the tools and the perspective to create alchemy, to be more expansive and to create a recipe of JOY!

I owe my own yoga journey to my dearest teachers. The artistry they possess in guiding students through their internal terrain in a way that makes us feel safe is something I honour and only hope I can extend this same sensitivity.

As I continue to practice, learn and share, I hope to cross paths soon as I wholeheartedly believe yoga has so much to teach us all.

"Presence is a practice. Practice makes presence"

My classes are Vinyasa based combining elements of Hatha and Katonah.

While we move strongly but gently, there are always options for those wanting to take rest and those wanting to move deeper.

Combining movement with pranayama and finding those sweet moments of stillness amongst the chaos (of life).

I encourage you to explore how these tools and techniques can support your own journey of self-enquiry and alchemy.
